Calum Pert Set for Biggest Challenge Yet at the 2026 Manx Grand Prix

As preparations gather pace for the 2026 Manx Grand Prix, Hedzup is proud to announce that Calum Pert will be taking on his most ambitious campaign to date, competing across multiple races on three very different motorcycles.

Following another strong season of racing, Calum heads to the Isle of Man with a busy programme that will test every aspect of his riding ability, from lightweight classic machinery to modern supersport bikes.

A Three-Bike Challenge

Calum will campaign:

Each machine presents its own unique challenge.

The iconic Honda NC30 demands smooth, precise riding and rewards momentum through the Mountain Course's flowing sections. In contrast, the ER650 is all about carrying corner speed and making every horsepower count, while the ZX-6R delivers the outright pace required to compete in one of the fastest classes at the Manx Grand Prix.

Months of Preparation

The Manx Grand Prix is unlike any other race meeting in the world.

Every lap of the 37 ¾-mile Mountain Course demands complete concentration, with over 200 corners, changing road surfaces, high-speed village sections and the ever-present challenge of unpredictable Isle of Man weather.

Preparation begins long before the ferry leaves for Douglas.

Over the coming weeks, Calum will continue testing, training and working closely with the Hedzup Racing team to ensure each machine is fully prepared. Every component is checked, every setup refined and every detail considered, because on the Mountain Course there is no substitute for preparation.

For Hedzup, this programme represents far more than chasing results.

Young people involved with Hedzup have the opportunity to work alongside the race team, gaining first-hand experience in motorcycle preparation, workshop discipline, teamwork and problem-solving.

They'll travel to the Isle of Man to support the team throughout race week, assisting with bike preparation, logistics and the day-to-day demands of competing at one of the world's most iconic road racing events. Several of our young people will also volunteer as Race Marshals, playing a vital role in the safe running of the meeting while gaining a unique insight into how the event operates behind the scenes.

From servicing engines and preparing race bikes to understanding race logistics, safety and the importance of attention to detail, they experience the standards required to compete at one of the world's most demanding road races. These are skills that extend well beyond racing and into future careers, apprenticeships and everyday life.

Looking Ahead

The Manx Grand Prix has launched the careers of many of road racing's biggest names, and every lap around the Mountain Course is earned through dedication, commitment and countless hours of work behind the scenes.

Calum has already shown what he is capable of, and everyone at Hedzup is excited to see him take on this expanded programme across three motorcycles.
